I spotted a water heater in the middle of nowhere while riding my mountain bike. Odd, there’s no reason for it to be there. I followed the trail and ended up in a wild landfill. Appliances, furniture, tires, construction material, bones (hopefully not human?), scrap metal, the whole lot.
I kept walking and found a camper. If someone went there to dump a camper, it’s not too far-fetched to assume cars have been abandoned in the area, too. Sure enough, five minutes later I found a stripped, badly dented Citroën Ami 6 wagon hanging out under an oak tree.
Odds are it’s not alone; this isn’t one person’s wild landfill, but a whole town’s. Stay tuned.
