Have you seen this 1972 Volkswagen Squareback?

Folks, we’re trying to track down a 1972 Volkswagen Squareback for a friend.

It was last seen in Atlanta, Georgia, in March of 1980. It’s chassis number 148 471 and, at the time, it wore Georgia registration number BZW 275. It was originally painted blue, though we’re not ruling out the possibility that it was repainted at some point over the past 37 years.

We’ve checked and our missing Squareback doesn’t appear in the Type 3 registry. This is admittedly a long shot but one that’s worth taking. Have you owned it? Worked on it? Parted it out? Leave us a comment below or on our Facebook page.
