We’re traveling back to England in 1983. The first photo below was taken in Coalport, the second one was shot in Shipston-on-Stour, and I’m not quite sure about the third one. One of Ran When Parked’s British readers can likely point us in the right direction.
What car(s) can you identify in these images? What one(s) would you most like to have in your garage? I’d go with the Renault 4 parked at the gas station in Shipston. I’ve already got a few in my driveway, but I’d like to spend time behind the wheel of a right-hand drive model. I wouldn’t mind having the Mini Travelever on the left side of that same shot, either.

Third image was taken on the A1 (Blyth Rd, Ranby, Retford, Nottinghamshire DN22 8JH, UK), looking south, on the bridge over the railway (north of the A1/A614 roundabout at Apleyhead Wood):

The layout of the A1 was changed some time between 2004 and 2008 (can be seen in Google Earth), shouthbound it used to make this little kink to the east (leading up to the roundabout), now it curves to the east.
And just for completeness: The railway must be the Sheffield to Lincoln Line, between Worksop Retford. 🙂
I was hoping you’d pitch in – thanks!
I think there are two Triumph Dolomite/Toledos in picture 2 – an early model from the right, and a later just in front of the cyclist?
Is that a Toyota Crown nearest the camera in picture 2?
Renault 4 on the garage forecourt and either a Ford Mk3 Escort or a Vauxhall Astra/Opel Kadette coming towards the camera. Mini can in front of the three wheeler.
I think the Toyota in front must be a Supra – probably with the Crown’s wonderful straight six engine.
pic one the Hillman Hunter please – pic two the blue plastic three wheeler – these were given to the disabled by the Govt from I think the late 50’s through to the late 80’s when cars became available – these are now interesting two stroke sliding door relics that have to be worth saving. The last pic – the 3r d car back – is that a Granada coupe’ ?
First picture has the boot of a Sierra visible on the right, Hillman Hunter in the centre and an Austin Princess in the background.
Pic 2: left side, front to back: Toyota Celica; (no idea); (no idea); e24 BMW; (no idea); right side, back to front: white Ford Cortina, Renault 4; tan Alfa Giulia?
I mean e12 BMW, not e24!
i will take the toyota.
I will take the BMW 5-series parked on the left side in the second photo.
