Porsche traveled to this year’s Geneva Auto Show to introduce the limited-edition 911 R and the facelifted Boxster. The company’s smallest roadster receives an array of visual tweaks on both ends, and most variants ditch the naturally-aspirated flat-six engine for a smaller, turbocharged flat-four. The updated model is called 718 Boxster, a homage to one of the most successful flat-four-powered Porsches ever built.
Instead of merely including a picture of the original 718 in its press kit, Porsche shipped an example from its museum in its home town of Stuttgart, Germany, to its stand at this year’s Geneva show.
i like the idea of a flat 4 in the Boxster/718, but then i am a fan of the 914.
