Rewind to the Bavarian Alps in the late 1980s

We’re traveling back to the Bavarian Alps in the late 1980s. The picture below shows an open-air junkyard – we don’t know where it was taken, but it’s certainly gone by now.

What car(s) can you identify in the stack of cars?  What one(s) would you most like to have in your garage today?  We’d take either the Fiat 127 or the 500, or the Autobianchi A112.

  1. It’s interesting to see so many junked Italian cars in the Bavarian Alps. I see the back end of a Renault 4 under the Fiat 500 and an Alfasud right behind it. It’s interesting to see a Lancia Beta at the lower left side, too. I’ll take the Ford Fiesta on the top and the Renault 4.

    • I like the single cab on the bottom left of the stack. I bet the person who scrapped it regrets not simply parking it in a barn somewhere and hanging on to it.

      • the single cab was what i was looking at when i said ” bus “. sorry. and yes they are worth a lot today.
