We’re traveling back to Dublin, Ireland, in the middle of the 1980s. The picture below was taken on the O’Connell Bridge, which crosses the Liffey River in the heart of downtown.
What car(s) can you identify in the picture below? What one(s) would you most like to have in your garage?
We’ve already got a Renault 4 F4 that is identical to the one in the pic so we’ll go with either the two-tone Renault 18 or the blue Saab 900.
i will take the brown 504 and hope it is a diesel.
Isn’t that lovely 2 tone R18 an Deauville special edition?
Found one on Google images – its the R18GTL American special edition
Yeah, it’s a fairly rare limited-edition model – good eye. They also made a 9 with a similar two-tone paint job called Louisiane.
I could not find the Saab or the Renault 18 (amazing number of 1970s car here, the modern red Renault van and the blue Superfive really stand out!), but I got a blue Escort MkII and and white-black Opel. I rather fancy the unidenfied silver grey coupe in front of the Opel.
Haha, great picture
Isn’t the ‘silvery-grey coupé’ a Peugeot 505 saloon? I’m stumped with the red thing next to it. It looks small and Japanese to me but too delicate to be a Darsun Cherry.
