We’re traveling back to Le Bourget, France, a small town located on the outskirts of Paris. The Paris area is notorious for traffic jams and the photos below show that getting from point A to point B in a car was already a time-consuming task in the middle of the 1950s.

What car(s) can you identify in the following images? What one(s) would you most like to have in your driveway?

Our choice is easy: We’d pick the early 2CV in the foreground, especially if we can somehow keep the 1956 registration number. We’d also be tempted by the white Renault Dauphine which is parked on the right side of the street under the bridge. The photo was taken in either 1956 or 1957 so this has to be one of the very first Dauphines.
