Renault looking for R16 owners to participate in historic Monte-Carlo

Renault’s Classic department is offering two lucky R16 owners the chance to participate in the 2015 edition of the Monte-Carlo Historique rally. The automaker is looking for two co-drivers to ride along in the factory-backed cars that it will enter in the event to celebrate the 16’s 50th birthday.

To be eligible to win, participants must currently own at least one Renault 16 and they must be part of a car club that is affiliated with the French Federation of Renault & Alpine Clubs. Entry forms need to be returned to Renault via either email or standard mail by October 31st, 2014. The names of the two winners will be drawn at random by famed pilot Jean Ragnotti at the Epoqu’Auto car show that will take place in Lyon, France, on November 9th.

Next year’s edition of the Monte-Carlo Historique Rally is scheduled to kick off in a number of cities across Europe on January 29th, 2015, and it will end in Monaco on February 5th. 1. a lot of great photos from past events. nice idea on the part of Renault to include owners/club members. my pick of the cars from the photos, since i can not take them all, would be the volvos and beetles.
