Rewind to Dieppe, France, in the early 1970s

We’re traveling back to Dieppe, a small town located on the English Channel, in the early 1970s. To car guys Dieppe is synonymous with Alpine but the postcard showcases a 15th century castle.

What car(s) can you identify in the following picture? What one(s) would you most like to have in your driveway? We’d pick either the burgundy Peugeot 204 station wagon or the white DAF 55.

  1. I’d take the Peugeot 404 on the bottom right! And the A110 as well – obviously, please!
Is that a white Morris Marina parked on the right of the central lamp post?

  3. The Daf next to the 204 Break is a 44 (with the 2 cylinder flat four) The 55 became a ‘racecar’ in comparison when fitted with the 4 cyl 1108cc Renault engine
