Rewind to East Germany in the 1960s

We’re traveling back to East Germany in the 1960s. As expected, there are a lot of Trabants and Wartburgs in the following pictures but take a closer look, there are some surprises hidden in there.

What car(s) can you identify in the following images. What one(s) would you most like to have in your garage?

We’d pick a Tatra – ’nuff said.

Rostock, Ernst-Thälmann-Platz, Parkplatz, Marienkirche

Chemiefaserwerk Guben, Parkplatz, Kraftwerk

  1. Woah, 14 window bay? Thought that was a Brazil market only thing. Wonder if they’re as sought after as the 15 window splitty? Doubt it but still cool.
