Topical advertising: Under the hood

A well-trained eye can generally tell where a car is from by simply looking under the hood.  For example, a lot of French cars built in the 1960s and 1970s had the spare tire mounted under the hood, and Italian valve covers are often art-like components crafted with an impressive amount of attention to detail.
