Paris, France, is known for its famous landmarks, its museums, its restaurants and its crippling traffic jams. While restaurants often come and go, landmarks, museums and hours spent in traffic have been associated with the city for decades.
What cars can you identify in the following photo taken in 1970 in downtown Paris? What one would you rather have in your garage?
We’d personally be tempted by either the Simca 1000 Rallye II or the Lancia Flavia coupe, but we’d be happy with even a humble first-gen Renault 4 with a three-speed manual.

I’ll take the black DS 23 with the optional hood handle, the early 2cv with the corrugated hood and maybe the RO80 if the rotory tips aren’t shot yet.
interesting, there are not many non french cars, 2-3 moriss, maybe 2 fiats..
i will take the beetle and the R8. thanks
Its a French car-fest – so I will have the FIAT 850 in the foreground !!
Excellent choice – I’ve been looking for an 850 for the past few months, they’ve become pretty difficult to find!
