Topical advertising: Snow

It’s officially winter time in the northern hemisphere.  Ski stations are gearing up for their busiest seasons, holiday preparations are in full swing and annoyed commuters are getting ready to fire up the snow blower.

What vintage car would you rather drive through the snow?  What one would you trust the least?

  1. Love most of cars presented here, but I’ll drive my 1980 V8 Range Rover this winter, or my wife’s Forester Turbo. Merry Christmas and a lot of snow for 2014 !

  2. I would pick the Chevrolet Blazer. I was raised around them; I worked on them most of my life and I own a truck similar to that. I might add that a friend of mine from Switzerland bought one when he was here and shipped it back home when he went back.

  3. I never ever want a Vauxhall ( Opel ) Insignia in the snow again. Had one 09-12 – Jeez – we had 2 bad winters here in the UK – until then I didn’t know my street had a slope on it!! The incline is so shallow yet the Insignia couldn’t climb it – effectively 6-8 weeks of winter my car was unusable. Meantime for example my wifes Chevrolet Matiz and neighbours Peugeot 106 traversed the snowy wastes ( not ) without drama
